Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at 567-209-1083 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Acupuncture is a form of traditional Chinese medicine that involves the insertion of thin needles into the skin at specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow and promote healing.

Acupuncture rarely 'hurts'. The most that people experience is a dull ache around the base of the inserted needle, or a slight tingling feeling when the needle is inserted. Points at the extremities, like toe or finger ends, can sometimes be a little sharp, but the sensation is usually brief. The treatments themselves, patients find to be very relaxing.

Acupuncture can be used to treat a wide range of conditions such as pain, stress, anxiety, insomnia, digestive disorders, and more.

Acupuncture is considered a safe treatment when performed by a licensed and trained practitioner using sterile needles. It is important to disclose any medical conditions or medications you are taking to your practitioner before beginning treatment.

That is strictly dependent upon your specific insurance. We do not bill insurance directly however if you know your insurance covers a set amount of services we can provide a statement you can submit for reimbursement from your insurance company.  We are in network with VA community care. If you are a veteran, please connect with your primary care and have them place a referral.
